Tapestry Tuesday #15 - Persist and Verticus SageArts

Hello all, its Ohms once again giving you the weekly update known as Tapestry Tuesday!

This Tuesday we are continuing our series on the different SageArt Forms, and… well… the SageArts themselves are starting to become more complex.

Today’s Forms, Persist and Verticus, demonstrate the beginnings of the more complex and detailed forms that exist in the game.

Persist and Verticus have varying additional functionalities that add to their variety. This can create several varieties of the different types shown here, a staple of their complexity and potential.

Persist abilities represent lingering miasmic effects that deal damage over time. These damaging effects come from moving cloudy areas, as shown above. They can sometimes expand through self replication, creating expanding damaging areas that become more and more lethal to enemies over time.

Verticus SageArts, as shown above, are beam or projected attacks generated not from the player’s location, but from the ground below the player or from the space above or below the enemy themselves. This not only makes gauging distance important for the player, but it is also imperative to know where the attack comes from for maximum effectiveness.

These are but a taste of the various forms to come, We have reached past the halfway point now, and are coming up the home stretch! I look forward to sharing more of this in the future!
